On 13 and 14 May, the 15th BMBF Forum for Sustainability will take place in Berlin. We will be there.
Key questions of the event are: What can and what must research contribute to mastering ecological challenges such as climate change and the extinction of species? How can digitization be used for sustainable development?
„Of course, our project offers points of contact here,“ says Prof. Patrick Mäder the Flora Incognita project leader. „Not only in terms of technology – of course artificial intelligence can and must be used for sustainable topics. More so, in terms of added value. If we can persuade people to consciously experience the local flora again, the loss of species will become visible to everyone.“
The team will be on site with a booth and will present the apps in personal talks, via posters and of course with a series of smartphones by trying them out.
Jana Wäldchen from the Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry is motivated: „We are looking forward to making people curious to use the apps themselves. We would like to invite all visitors to ask questions and discuss with us which possible application scenarios are possible. In exchange with others, new ideas will emerge to take the project to the next level“.
You can follow the event in the social networks with the hashtag #FONA2019.
